Big Cabaye haul beats Crystal Palace home run in 15/16 specials

Crystal Palace fans could hardly believe their ears when news came through that boss Alan Pardew had struck a £10m deal with Paris Saint-Germain for France international Yohan Cabaye, 18 months after selling him for almost twice that when Newcastle manager.
The 39-cap Les Bleus man was thought to be on Europa League-bound pair Southampton and Tottenham’s radars, so the Eagles snapping him up, admittedly for a club record fee, was quite a coup.

You can have 10/1 with the bookies on the 29-year-old bagging at least nine goals over the top-flight campaign, and a quick glance at his form during his last few months in the north east strongly suggests such a haul isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.
Cabaye struck seven times in 19 Premier League fixtures during the first half of the 2013/14 campaign, before heading to the French capital at the end of January.
His productivity sharply stalled at Parc de Princes, with the net found only three times in 57 all-competition fixtures for PSG, but now Cabaye is back under the wing of the man who brought the best out of him, logic dictates that goals will begin to flow once again.
Furthermore, having been on from the off in all but three of his 79 Premier League appearances with the Geordies, Cabaye only started 22 times for Les Parisiens in Ligue 1, coming off the bench for his other 17 outings.
He looks a fair bet at 10/1 to notch nine or more, but the same price about Palace bagging in each of their first 10 home matches of the season should be swerved.
They haven’t managed as much in either of their Premier League seasons since returning to the promised land two years ago, with Pardew’s best run of consecutively bothering the Selhurst Park scoreboard operators currently standing at four games.
