Celtic lead triple-header of top-prices at Ladbrokes on Saturday

Published:

Here at Ladbrokes we like to complement excellent football with excellent offers, and none more so than our tantalising top-price lunchtime fare.

That’s right, for every game shown live on Saturday lunchtimes this season, the bookmaker is committed to delivering the top price on the favourites from 8am on the day of the match (full T&Cs can be found here).

The jollies let those taking advantage of the offer down last week, but this time round there should be no trouble for at least two of the fancied sides, in what is a three course helping of televised action.

We start the day with action north of the border with Scottish champions Celtic visiting Dundee United.

Ronny Deila’s men may have set themselves up for a tricky task in the Champions League, but in the Ladbrokes Premiership they’ve looked imperious, netting two or more in all four competitive fixtures.

And with four clean sheets in their last five away outings in the top-flight, they are expected to comfortably see off the Terrors who shipped four against the formerly goal-shy Hamilton Academicals.

Half-an-hour later we head to Yorkshire with Leeds looking to maintain their strong recent record against their White Rose county rivals.

The Whites have won six of their last eight games against their neighbours from ‘God’s Own County’, and can continue that run against Sheffield Wednesday.

They will need to be more clinical though, having drawn all three league games this season, but having scored twice in their recent encounter with Bristol City, Uwe Rosler’s men have shown they are more than capable of finding the back of the net.

Rounding off our top-price trio are Manchester United who host Newcastle at Old Trafford live on BT Sport 1.

History suggests that Louis van Gaal’s men can continue their 100 per cent start to the season against a regular Red Devils victim.

The Magpies have lost six of their last seven matches against the Old Trafford outfit and have tasted defeat a whopping 25 times in the Premier League against the Manchester side, more than against any other team.

Throw in that the suspended Daryl Janmaat will be missing for the visitors and it’s easy to see LVG’s boys making it four on the trot.
