Fantasy Football: Our man John looking to assert his authority

In the meantime, here’s how our motley quintet are re-jigging their teams ahead of gameweek 4.
Generous John

Another solid week of points from the boys. The back three and Joe Hart brought in the bulk of my team’s overall points total. Riyad Mahrez once again produced the goods so let’s hope his hot streak continues.
Joe Gomez and Nathan Redmond have been drafted in this week as both are on form and racking up the points so this is a no-brainer. I’ve gone with a 4-3-3 formation this week and I think I can steal a few points from clean sheets.
I’ve made Christian Benteke this week. The Liverpool forward was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet at the Emirates so I’m expecting the big man to find the back of the net against West Ham.
The Believer

I got some great points last week from my new all-out attacking team but I’ve still got some way to go. Between the sticks I’ve reinstalled Thibaut Courtois as Swansea have the much fancied Manchester City and I can’t take the risk with Lukasz Fabianski. Daryl Janmaat also comes back into the fold as this guy knows how to get forward and Arsenal are there for the taking.
Jack Colback hasn’t impressed so far this season and he looked out of shape when Newcastle visited Old Trafford and I expect the same form against the Gunners this weekend.
Marc Albrighton was a star last week and with a visit to Bournemouth on the horizon expect him to bag some points. That’s why I drafted in the Leicester man.
Up top I’ve stuck with Badetimbi Gomis and Harry Kane but brought Aleksandar Mitrovic off the bench. Gomis has been a sensation this season and the only way is up for the Frenchman.
I’m not totally sure what to make of Mitrovic, he looked good against Manchester United and he’s already becoming a cult figure on Tyneside. If the Geordies get behind the Serb then expect him to start rattling them in.
The Gut Truster

After a slow week, I’m switching to the trusty 4-4-2, with bench sitter Daniel Pudil being replaced by Bacary Sagna who goes straight into the starting XI. With Man City playing new boys Watford at home, I’m expecting a clean sheet and David Silva keeps the armband with the opportunity to stretch his legs.
Yannick Bolasie and Per Mertesacker are doubts, so they drop to the bench. I’m sticking with the two powerhouses Bafetimbi Gomis and Romelu Lukaku up top, confident that they can both add to their goal tallies this weekend.
Mr. Brightside

This will be the week that will kick starts my season, I’m sure of it. Jack Butland will get his chance in-between the sticks as he’s impressed all season and looks to have nailed down the Potters’ number one shirt.
It may have been a poor week for the back line especially Ryan Cresswell, but that’s the beauty about football. There’s always another game so they will remain unchanged.
Ex-Barca wide man Adama Traore has made an instant impact for Villa creating the goal with his blistering pace against Palace and also scoring on his home debut in the Capital One Cup.
He replaces Jordon Ibe in midfield with the Liverpool winger starting on the bench for MNF. With Saido Berahino’s future uncertain he will start on the bench with Kane and Aguero leading the line.
The Professor

Unlike the Gut Truster, one thing I’ve never been afraid of doing is to admit when I’m wrong and after another disappointing week I’ve decided it’s time for a big change.
I’ve played my wild card and while I’m keeping the faith with Memphis Depay, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and David Silva, there are some big name additions.
In come superstars Aguero and Diego Costa who are supported by Ivorian Arouna Kone as I desperately look for some points.
Fellow Toffee Ross Barkley comes in for Cesc Fabregas and there’s a whole new defence. Arsenal keeper Petr Cech gets the nod in between the sticks after his heroics last week.
