Ladbrokes Premiership: No let up from Aberdeen and Hearts

Champions Celtic were victorious in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off but the Hoops know they’ve got at least two determined challengers for their title crown this season. 

Aberdeen and Hearts both maintained their 100 per cent records as the prospect of a genuine assault on their dominance increases by the week.

It was looking like it might be a frustrating afternoon for the home side, who dominated without being able to break down a stubborn rearguard away performance. In the final match of the weekend St Johnstone came from a goal down to defeat Motherwell 2-1 at McDiarmid Park. Veteran frontman Steve MacLean netted a brace to earn his side a first win of the campaign.
