NFL Acca: Lions and Chargers picked in big four fold

Published:

Although there is yet more pigskin to enjoy at Wembley during Week 7 of the NFL season, our regular accumulator steers well clear of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ battle against the Buffalo Bills.

Instead, we stick to the action taking place in the sport’s homeland, with the below fourfold paying out £129.10 to a £10 stake:

Atlanta Falcons (-6) to beat Tennessee Titans @ 20/23

The Falcons are heavy favourites to beat the Titans and are taken to overcome a six point handicap.

Tennessee have lost all three games they’ve played at Nissan Stadium this season, a run of woe that actually extends to eight games when last term is taken into account.

Their front line is allowing the fourth-most sacks in the NFL and could even be without starting quarterback Marcus Mariotta this week.

Detroit Lions to beat Minnesota Vikings @ 20/21

The Lions won for the first time this season when beating the Chicago Bears in overtime last week and have a good chance of doubling their tally against the travel sick Vikings.

Minnesota are winless in nine away games against NFC North compatriots and have lost both away games this season, giving up 12 sacks in those two outings.

With Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson finally finding a groove on offense last week, Detroit should get consecutive successes.

San Diego Chargers (-3.5) to beat Oakland Raiders @ 20/21

Philip Rivers is leading the NFL in passing yards per game and completes 70 percent of his throws for the Chargers.

Although they are coming off a bye week, Oakland look to be in for a tough afternoon against the San Diego slinger, considering their pass defence is the second-worst in the league.

The Chargers are averaging 47 more yards through the air per game than the Raiders allow!

Carolina Panthers (-3) to beat Philadelphia Eagles @ 20/21

The Panthers are one of five teams still unbeaten this season and can overcome a small handicap here.

The play of Cam Newton, albeit not with his passing arm, has been a catalyst for the Panthers’ 5-0 start and revenge is on the cards here after Carolina suffered a whooping at the Eagles’ hands last season.

Along with Newton, the Panthers’ defence has played well, forcing 11 turnovers so far. The Eagles have only been turnover-free once in the last 22 games.

Of course, if an accumulator isn’t your preferred punt, then take advantage of Ladbrokes’ double first TD scorer offer, which has seen Marshawn Lynch, Odell Beckham Jr and Antonio Gates all land recently.
