Sharp shooter: Aguero absence gives Man City midfielder chance to shine in derby

| 23.10.2015

With two big Premier League derbies on Sunday, and a Championship one on Saturday, this weekend is going to be a treat for football fans, and could be even better if you utilise Ladbrokes’ *Sharp Shooter promotion.

These games offer a player the chance to get on the score sheet, claim bragging rights for their team, and become a cult hero at the club.

Manchester United vs Manchester City: Yaya Toure to score first @ 9/1

Sighs of relief will have swept through Old Trafford with the news that Sergio Aguero, the man who has scored six in six against Man United, will miss the Manchester derby.

However, they still have a lot to worry about in the shape of Yaya Toure, the next most prolific player in the rivalry with three in six.

Four consecutive wins in all competitions and as many victories in five Manchester derbies will give the Citizens a boost of confidence and the Ivorian midfielder may capitalise.

Sunderland vs Newcastle: Georginio Wijnaldum to score first @ 8/1

Another derby and another midfielder to look out for, with Wijnaldum’s four goals against Norwich showing how dangerous the Dutchman can be.

He opened the scoring in the trouncing of the Canaries and doing so against a team that have let in the first goal in four of their last five is by no means a shot in the dark.

Blackburn Rovers vs Burnley: Andre Gray to score first @ 5/1

Two of the Championship’s big hitters go head to head on Saturday, with Jordan Rhodes, on seven, and Andre Gray, on six, looking to prove themselves as the best Football League striker in Lancashire.

Both are priced at 5/1 to open the scoring, and, despite Rhodes’ better tally, the Burnley man seems the better option.

Gray has got his name on the scoresheet first in two of the Clarets’ last three games, while Rovers haven’t found the net in their last two outings.
