Fantasy Football: Which Man United star has The Gut Truster brought in?
Published:
It may not be squeaky bum time just yet but Fantasy Football managers up and down the country will be all too aware of how important it is to stay in touch with their respective league leaders.
That’s certainly the case in our very own division with the Ladbrokes Life boys all keen to get one over their mates.
It’s all about the glory for Brightside, Generous John, The Professor, The Believer and The Gut Truster.
No one wants that wooden spoon and there’s one hell of a fight developing.
Here’s what they’ve been up to ahead of gameweek 12.
#GutTruster:

OK, I’ll admit it. I’m worried about my continued decline in the league. I’ve gone from treading on Generous John’s toes at the top to mid-table mediocrity alongside The Professor! It’s not on.
Through no fault of his own, out goes Coleman, sold so that I had the funds to bring in “Mike” Smalling.
The attention may be on United’s strikers not producing but they’ve only conceded once in their last 6 games – so I’m hoping they can make that seven against West Brom.
Ozil is still pulling the strings for Arsenal and despite a dodgy week for Payet and West Ham, he still keeps his place and I expect him to bounce back.
Another goalscoring week from Vardy and Lukaku would put me right back on track.

Newcastle United players have been a constant pain of mine over the last few weeks but even so, I’ve decided to stick with my Magpies threesome.
The Toon make the long trip to Bournemouth and I reckon they’ll be hungrier for three points than the Cherries but I’m beginning to lose patience and fast.
Manchester United have been awful going forward. 404 minutes without a goal is embarrassing for one of the best teams in the nation.
Something isn’t right at Old Trafford and Rooney is starting to become a sideshow. This inevitably means that Martial is out and replaced by Wilfried Bony.
City have Villa up next and it may turn into a horror show for new man Remi Garde.
In other news, Vardy gets the captaincy ahead of Leicester’s match against Watford, where he must be guaranteed some valuable time in front of goal.

Seven goals and four assists last week in another top performance from the boys puts my team within touching distance of #GenerousJohn who leads out of #TheLadbrokesLife guys. I will be looking to overtake him this week and I’ve taken a big risk to get me in pole position.
The keeper and back three stay the same. It was disappointing to see Kolarov miss a pen last week however I’m backing him to pick up a clean sheet against a Aston Villa side in miserable form.
I’m also backing Coutinho to kick-start his season after an awesome brace at Stamford Bridge and Ayew to continue his impressive debut season away at Norwich. Of course, Ozil and Toure keep their place in the middle.
I’ve had to make a big call in order to take this team to another level. Oliver Giroud comes in for Romelu Lukaku. Despite the Belgian’s massive 14 points last week, I’m bringing in the in-form Frenchman who has seven goals in his last seven games.
I reckon Arsenal will bounce back from the Bayern bashing and Giroud to be the catalyst. That’s why he’s going to be leading out the team as captain.
#GenerousJohn

I was pleased with last week’s solid return although #MrBrightside had a better week which was annoying.
On the plus side, two-thirds of my team are performing wonders and feature in this season’s Dream Team.
Koscielny returns to the starting XI for this week. I missed out on a whopping 15 points by leaving him on the bench last week.
I’ve gone with five midfielders for this week’s fixtures and that where I feel the majority of my points come from and Sanchez continues with the armband.
The North London derby is a fixture that always provides goals and action and I’m hoping Sanchez will be involved in everything positive from the Gunners for this one.
Berahino hasn’t offered me much this season and for that reason he’s been taken out and replaced with the in-form Ighalo.
