Goal-hungry Everton ace to satisfy appetite at Norwich

Gameweek 16 of the Premier League kicks off with Everton’s trip to Norwich in a fixture where the Toffees will be looking to underline their credentials for a place in Europe come May.

Any side harbouring such ambitions, as the ninth-place Toffees clearly do, ought to be beating the struggling teams.

Languishing in 15th-place with only three league wins to their name all season and only one in their last 10 all told, the Canaries certainly fit the description.

Roberto Martinez’s men have won three and drawn three of their last six top-flight fixtures alternatively, being frustrated by Crystal Palace last time out when only the woodwork denied them a deserved victory on two occasions.

Although lauded for their adventurous spirit under Alex Neil, Norwich concede far too many goals and that is something Everton’s in tune strike force can exploit at Carrow Road.

The match odds suggest it will be a very tight encounter, with little value to be sought in either 19/10 on the hosts or 6/4 on Roberto Martinez’s visitors.

However, given the way the Toffees have been have been racking up the goals, and one man in particular, it’s the away side who should be backed.

Feeding off the exquisite service provided to him by Spanish winger Gerard Deuloufeu and Everton protégé Ross Barkley, Romelu Lukaku has been in red-hot form this season.

Everton’s record signing took his Premier League scoring streak to five in succession against Palace, and as mentioned previously, only the frame of the goal denied the Belgian a hat-trick.

Only Jamie Vardy (14) has netted more times in the top flight than the 11 Lukaku has bagged to this point.
Seeing as Norwich have fallen behind in seven of their last eight top-tier fixtures, there really is no other first scorer bet to go with, other than the £28m goal machine at 9/2.

Don’t forget that being a televised game, any first goalscorer bet which lands within the opening 25 minutes of the match is eligible for the *Double Odds 1st Goalscorers promotion.
