Ronny Deila confident Celtic will win the Ladbrokes Premiership

Celtic boss Ronny Deila is in a bullish mood about his side’s chances of retaining their Ladbrokes Premiership crown ahead of their crunch tie with Aberdeen tonight.

The Bhoys are six points ahead of Derek McInnes’ men and Deila is confident his men have what it takes to rise to the challenge of the Dons en-route to another league title.

“Aberdeen are a big test for us, but if we win this game it’s going to be very hard to catch us again. I’m looking forward to it,” he told the Daily Record.

“If we start to lose all our games then I will not be here but I am so confident we are going to have a good season and win the league.”

The comments come after Deila was named Ladbrokes Manager of the Month for January after steering his side to four successive wins and although his side were dumped out of the League Cup by Ross County Deila remains fully committed to the cause and says the players and board are confident in his ability to deliver.

“I really believe the club has full faith in me and that the players are behind me. I am evaluated on so many aspects. People judge on results, but those inside the club see the whole picture,” he added.

The Hoops travel to Pittodrie as the 4/5 favourites to emerge victorious and extend their title lead to nine points. The Dons are billed as the 16/5 outsiders by the league sponsors, with the draw on at 13/5.

Colin Kazim-Richards could well make his debut for the Bhoys and is an 11/2 shot to open the goalscoring but it is the league’s top scorer, Leigh Griffiths, who heads the betting at odds of 10/3 to net first.
