Catalans Dragons primed to end Warrington’s unbeaten run

Warrington Wolves are in real danger of losing their 100 per cent Super League record when they travel to Perpignan to face Catalans Dragons this evening.

The Wolves are one of just two sides to have won every game so far this season, a record that was seriously under threat last week until Chris Sandow’s stunning last-gasp drop-goal sealed a 31-30 win over Salford.

Catalans, meanwhile, have found their feet after a slow start, beating Leeds and Wakefield in their last two matches, scoring points aplenty in the process – much like their opponents.

It could well be the battle of two imperious half-backs at the Stade Gilbert Brutus, as Sandow faces up against Australian international Todd Carney, who alongside Richie Myler, was practically unplayable in the first half against Wakefield last week.

For the Wolves, Ben Currie has continued his superb 2015 form at the beginning of this season, crossing for four tries in his last three games. He is 9/4 to score a try at any time against the Dragons.

Much is made of the Dragons’ home form, and while the Wolves have fared better than others in Perpignan in recent years – with three wins from four attempts – the new-look Dragons seem to be gelling and have the potential to end Warrington’s unbeaten run.

The French outfit will go toe-to-toe with the Wolves, and with the backing of a notoriously raucous home support, could make it three wins on the bounce.

Against an in-form Warrington side who won’t make it easy, you can get 11/2 on a tight Dragons win between 1 and 5 points.
