Jim McInally named Ladbrokes League 1 Manager of the Month again

Peterhead boss Jim McInally has been named Ladbrokes League 1 Manager of the Month for a second month in a row after guiding his side to four wins on the bounce in February.

The Highland side completed another awards double with striker Rory McAllister also picking up the Player of the Month accolade for some excellent performances.

And McInally accepted his gong with a tribute to how well his team have performed.

He said: “Personally, I accept the award on behalf of all the players. They deserve all the plaudits, they’ve been fantastic.

“My job is easy! When I got it last month too I thought the same. The players do all the work and deserve all the credit.”

McInally believes his side are capable of reeling in league leaders Dunfermline but admits it will be a tough ask.

“We’ll try and catch Dunfermline. I think our start to the season killed us, because we’ve only lost four games and they all came at the start. But we’ll give it our best and keep going” he added.

Ochilview Park is the destination for The Blue Toon this weekend and they go into the game 8/11 favourites to overcome Stenhousemuir and add to their collection of victories this season.
