Ousted McClaren 6/1 for Villa, 10/1 for Big Brother

Steve McClaren is as likely to be in charge of a Premier League club on the opening day of next season as he is to enter the Big Brother house, according to Ladbrokes.

The former England manager was handed his marching orders by Newcastle today, and it’s 10/1 McClaren is in the dugout at a Premier League team as next season gets underway.

That’s the same price as a stint in the Big Brother house, while it’s 20/1 McClaren fancies heading to the Jungle for I’m a Celebrity.

As for his next employer, it’s 6/1 the 54-year-old turns up next as Aston Villa boss, while Leeds are 10/1 to land him with a return to Middlesbrough 12/1.

The bookies offer 11/10 McClaren appears on Match of the Day before the season is over, while anyone who fancies the former Twente boss to return as England manager can get 500/1.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “The writing had been on the wall for McClaren for some time and it now looks just as likely that he ends up in the Big Brother house as a Premier League dugout by next season.”

As for his former team, they head to league leaders Leicester.

The Toon Army are 19/4 to hand Rafa Benitez a debut win, while the Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and the Foxes gang are 11/20 to serve the new Magpies boss some early disappointment.
