Ladbrokes Premiership: Draws galore in store for top flight

Published:

Last weekend saw a clean sweep of draws in the Ladbrokes Championship and it could well be the top flight’s turn this time round – with the 3pm kick-offs at least.

Dundee United’s relegation scrap continues with Inverness the visitors to Tannadice, while Hamilton entertain Dundee, Kilmarnock host St Johnstone and Ross County take on Partick Thistle.

The form book suggests four close-fought games and we’re going for a stalemate in all but one.

Here’s your Ladbrokes News guide to this weekend Ladbrokes Premiership action.

Dundee United v Inverness

The Terror’s survival hopes have been hit in recent weeks with just one point from the last six available but with Caley winning just one and losing four of their last five on the road Mixu Paatelainen will be confident of a positive result. United saw out a draw last time out at home and three of the last five meetings with the Caley Jags ending all-square a share of the spoils awaits here.
Best Bet: Draw @ 23/10

Hamilton v Dundee

The Dees is an apt name for the Dundee’s other side at present with more of them than Ws or Ls in their form book. The Dark Blues have drawn their last three on the road and three of their last five anywhere. The Accies are in similar form, picking up just a point in three of their last five at home. The last four meetings have brought a win apiece and two draws so another tight one is on the cards here.
Best Bet: Draw @ 12/5

Kilmarnock v St Johnstone

Wins have been hard to come by for both of these sides of late. Killie have gone five games without victory and four without a win at home, while Saints win in their last away game was a first in five attempts. The last five meetings offer a draw and two wins apiece and with just one victory in nine attempts home or away a draw might just be the most Lee Clark’s men can hope for.
Best Bet: Draw @ 9/4

Ross County v Partick Thistle

Tempting though it may be to predict a fourth draw neither of these sides has shared the spoils in their last five games.

There haven’t been many wins either but Thistle’s two from five on the road trumps the Staggies’ one from five at home. Three of the last five clashes have ended with a 1-0 scoreline too so the visitors get the nod in a close game here.
Best Bet: Partick to win 1-0 @ 17/2
