Arsenal willing to go all-out in bid to land Morata

Arsenal are reportedly laying everything on the line in an attempt to bring Alvaro Morata to the Emirates, with Manchester United and PSG set to join the chase for the forward.

The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Juventus from Real Madrid, but the Spanish side seem set on activating a £25m buy-back clause.

Los Blancos will then open up a bidding war for the forward, who has frequently shone in the big games for both Juve and Real in recent years.

Arsenal have all but completed the Granit Xhaka deal, but more recruitment is needed if they’re to return to a side capable of challenging domestically and in Europe following another season of disappointment at the Emirates.

The Sun have reported that the Gunners have tabled a club-record £51m bid for the Spaniard, in an effort to ward off fellow suitors, while Spanish outlet AS believe Arsenal will double Morata’s wages should he choose north London as his next destination.

Morata isn’t the man to bring Arsene Wenger 20 goals a season, but he a player who will significantly improve any area of the Gunners’ current attacking roster, save for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Juventus are allegedly keen to maintain Morata’s services, but it seems the forward hasn’t been terribly happy in Turin, and a return to Real looks destined to be a temporary one.

Arsenal could land one of Europe’s brightest talents this summer. The question is, will they?
