England fans backing Kane and Vardy to both net against Wales

| 15.06.2016

Three Lions supporters were head-in-hands after Vasily Berezutsky’s injury-time leveller for Russia, but their optimism has returned ahead of the Wales game, with a flurry of bets on Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy both netting for Roy’s Boys at 6/1.

However, with both sides battling for qualification from Group B, this could be a night for new national heroes to arise, and it’s 11/8 that any England player picks the perfect time to score their first ever senior international goal.

Liverpool pair Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson – and a number of defenders – are still awaiting their first goal for Roy Hodgson’s side, so are we about to see a new name and number on the scoreboard tomorrow night?

Meanwhile, 5/4 says England net one beyond the 80-minute mark, and recent form suggests that could be a very smart bet, with Hodgson’s charges having scored beyond that point in three of their last five games leading up to Euro 2016.

And if a goal in the dying moments of normal time isn’t dramatic enough, fans can also back England to bag one in second-half injury-time at 4s.

England are 8/15 for victory, with 10/3 for the draw and 13/2 for a Welsh win.

And the passionate Three Lions faithful are set to win the social media battle too, with the Eiffel Tower 1/2 to display the England flag on Thursday.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “England could be in for more late drama, but fans are betting it will bring delight not despair. A last-gasp winner for England would be a multi-million pound disaster for the bookies, so we’ll be hoping for another draw.”
