Jamie Vardy odds on to be spotted in Arsenal kit at Euro 2016

| 07.06.2016

Jamie Vardy is set for his first international tournament as England prepare for Euro 2016, but it’s likely he’ll show his club allegiance in France with a shirty response.

The Leicester City striker was named the Football Writers’ Player of the Year last month after firing the Foxes to title glory with a record-breaking goalscoring run which stretched 11 consecutive Premier League matches.

However, the 29-year-old now looks increasingly likely to swap the East Midlands for the Emirates this summer and it’s 4/6 he delights Gunners fans by donning an Arsenal kit during Euro 2016.

Many are tipping the Three Lions new boy to shine on the big stage in France, with 7/2 saying the former Fleetwood Town ace will net twice for Roy Hodgson’s men, and 7/1 for him to score three or more goals for the national side.

And whether he begins next season in Leicester blue or Arsenal red, it’s 5/6 the England man manages over 13.5 Premier League goals in 2016-17.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “The odds suggest we’ll be seeing Jamie Vardy having a party in his brand new Arsenal kit during this summer’s showpiece.”

“If he can replicate his title-winning form in France he’s odds-on to get England fans fired up and dreaming of glory.”
