Rooney and Kane 7/1 to give Iceland the chills

England hitman Harry Kane has struggled to find his feet at Euro 2016, but he and the Three Lions’ all-time top scorer Wayne Rooney are 7/1 to both find the net against Iceland in Nice.
It’s proving a very popular bet, with the Tottenham man having won last season’s Premier League Golden Boot and Rooney netting seven times in eight games during qualifying.
Meanwhile, it’s 13/2 for Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge to once again be the goalscoring double act for Roy’s Boys, with both men scoring from the bench in the 2-1 win over Wales.
The Leicester man already has four goals for England in this calendar year, while Sturridge is a huge threat when fit. And with Iceland having conceded in their last five competitive games, the smart money could be on a perfect pairing doing the business for Roy Hodgson’s side.
Fans of Liverpool (7/1) and Manchester United (12/1) can also back two or more players from either of those sides to find the net, with a combined eight members of the Three Lions squad playing their club football for one of the north-west giants.
However, England could be undone by a familiar face, with 11/4 for any Icelandic player at a British club to score, while it’s 50/1 that two of their star names – Eidur Gudjohnsen and Gylfi Sigurdsson – are both on target.
A Ladbrokes Spokesperson said: “We could see another perfect pairing in front of goal for the Three Lions, but otherwise one of Iceland’s Britain-based stars may secure England’s second European exit within a week.”
