It’s fair to say that the Republic of Ireland have a habit of upsetting the odds and pulling off some of the most romantic upsets in international football.

You only have to scratch the surface of their previous history at major tournaments to uncover a host of fantastic underdog stories.

England and Italy have been turned over in the past while more recently Germany came a cropper against the Boys in Green in Euro 2016 qualifying.

So, what can we expect this summer?

Republic of Ireland take on Sweden in their Group E opener on Monday June 13. Talisman Shane Long is 11/2 to open the scoring while winger Robbie Brady is 14/1 to get the Irish off the mark.
