Former Man United prodigy now Evens for stunning return

Published:

Paul Pogba appears to be heading for the Juventus Stadium exit, and his most likely destination…? Manchester United.

It’s just Evens that the 23-year-old returns to Old Trafford this summer, with his departure from United in 2012 considered by many to be the biggest mistake of Sir Alex Ferguson’s tenure at the club.

However, new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is a far bigger admirer than his predecessor, and is willing to break the bank to bring home the 23-year-old.

But following four years in Italy which have seen him lift four Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia crowns and inspired his side to reach a Champions League final, it’s no surprise that Pogba has attracted interest from elsewhere.

Real Madrid (13/8) are second-favourites, while it’s 10/1 that he angers United fans with a move to local rivals Manchester City, and 16s for the France international to rock up at Chelsea before the summer ends.

Right now though, fans of Les Bleus will be hoping his focus is on their quarter-final clash with Iceland, with Pogba 2/1 to provide an assist against the tournament’s surprise package, with the same price that he scores anytime – and a hefty 25/1 for the Parisian playmaker to net in both halves.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “It looks like we’ll see Pogba re-United with the Manchester giants this summer, and he could head back to England with the toasts of France fans ringing in his ears.”
