Reunited Man Utd and Liverpool pair odds-on to break records
Published:After a somewhat disappointing foray into management, Gary Neville will return to the pundit’s chair for the coming football season.
Sky Sports announced that the former Valencia manager will be back in his role as expert analyst and commentator, after suffering a torrid time in Spain with Los Che.
The news was met with typical dry humour by his Monday Night Football co-star Jamie Carragher on Twitter, sparking a sarcastic “war of words” between the England internationals:

Left me for a 6 month fling now you come crawling back for forgiveness! Can we analyse the ‘FEW’ games on MNF?!!! https://t.co/eu7CpcOLnu

Following the exchange, we’ve gone 4/7 that the pair help break Sky’s MNF vieiwing record in their first game back in tandem, while it’s a 500/1 chance that the two fight on set at some stage in the season.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Neville’s return alongside Carragher will be a must watch and the pair are a certainty to add spice to Monday Night Football this season.”
Should any club give Neville a second crack at the managerial whip, we go 10/1 that it arrives this season. Conversely, it’s 5/1 that Carragher makes a maiden voyage on the sidelines this term.
