Arsene Wenger 8/1 to last another five years at Arsenal

Published:

Arsene Wenger’s 20th anniversary as Arsenal boss is unlikely to be his last landmark moment in management, with 8/1 for the Frenchman to remain at the club for five more years and Evens to win another major trophy with the Gunners.

The 66-year-old has lifted nine major trophies during his time in North London, and no manager in history has won more than Wenger’s six FA Cups.

Having also won league and cup honours in France and Japan, as well as three Premier League titles, the even-money price for him to lift another piece of silverware at the Emirates looks like superb value.

However, the 8/1 for him to be sacked could also prove popular, with a sizeable minority of Arsenal fans disillusioned with Wenger’s reign, in particular the 12-year title drought.

Whatever the manner of his eventual exit, there’s 10/1 on offer for the former Monaco gaffer to make a shock move to any other Premier League outfit.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Arsenal fans will be toasting Wenger’s tenure this weekend, but he’ll need to secure more silverware if he’s planning to stick around for the coming years.”

But will the Gunners gaffer be celebrating his anniversary in style with victory over Chelsea this weekend at 7/5?
