Last night saw the return of the group stages of the Champions League. And while Arsenal and Celtic both featured on the opening evening, tonight it’s the turn of European newboys Leicester City and returnees Tottenham Hotspur.

Leicester City to beat Club Brugge
Who’d have thought 12 months ago that Leicester City would be playing Champions League this season? Well, it happened, and entering the competition as top seeds from England meant a reasonably favourable draw was on the cards for them.
Their first ever Champions League game sees them travel to Bruges as slight favourites to get off to a winning start, and their 4-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday evening was a clear indication that Ranieri had one eye on tonight’s game.
Club Brugge have had a difficult start to their domestic campaign, picking up just seven points from their opening six games – a bad return for the current champions of Belgium.
It’s the night every Foxes fan has been waiting for, and with a fervent support behind them, they should bring three points back to the East Midlands.
Tottenham Hotspur to beat Monaco
Mauricio Pochettino’s men make their long-awaited return to the Champions League after four frustrating seasons away.
And they kick-off their campaign against a Monaco side sitting at the top of Ligue 1 after a blistering start to their season.
However, it’s Spurs who go into this one with the psychological advantage, having beaten the French outfit 4-1 less than a year ago in the Europa League.
And their fans will be expecting a performance fitting of the stadium the game will be played in, as Wembley Stadium will be the home ground for all of Spurs’ European fixtures this year.
Juventus to beat Sevilla
These two sides also met as recently as last year, with the Italian giants winning this fixture 2-0, before Sevilla managed to grab a 1-0 win back in Spain.
And while Paul Pogba’s presence in midfield will be sorely missed, the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain has certainly livened up spirits in Turin.
He’s already grabbed three goals in as many Serie A appearances and he’ll be heavily fancied to have the final say in tonight’s fixture.
Lyon to beat Dinamo Zagreb
The last time these two met was almost five years ago in Croatia, where the French outfit brushed their opponents aside, scoring seven goals in total, including the quickest ever hat-trick in a Champions League tie by Bafetimbi Gomis.
The only other time these two sides met was also in the same year, where Lyon won 2-0 in France.
Bruno Genesio’s men have had a fairly average start in Ligue 1 so far this season, but Saturday’s defeat to Bordeaux was their first at home in 13 competitive games, and fans will expect nothing less than victory against Zagreb tonight.
CSKA Moscow to beat Bayer Leverkusen
