How Twitter reacted to Phil Neville’s Man Utd punditry gaffe
Published:After Manchester United booked their place in the EFL Cup fourth round, Sky Sports viewers had the pleasure of listening to Phil Neville’s views as the post-match pundit.
As a long-time Red Devils player, the former England international was never going to make headlines by saying anything too controversial – after all, his old club had just beaten Northampton 3-1.
He did manage to grab everyone’s attention with an incredible gaffe though, referring to goalscorer Marcus Rashford as Michael. Not just once, but multiple times.
As you’d imagine social media went potty over the error.
