Rival to Swansea hotseat emerges for out-of-work Man Utd man

Ryan Giggs appears to be the only name on people’s lips as a potential successor for under-fire Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin.
The Welshman, who ended his long association with Manchester United when quitting as assistant manager upon Jose Mourinho’s appointment, remains out of work and appears to be the fans’ choice to replace the Italian should he be sacked.
However, media reports this morning suggested a competitor may be emerging alongside Giggs, with current Le Havre manager Bob Bradley touted as an attractive proposition for the Swans.
The Sun suggest that Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has even held talks with the American tactician with a view to installing him should the Liberty Stadium’s poor run of form – which stands at five league games without a win – continues.
As manager of his country’s national team between 2006 and 2011 Bradley won the CONCACAF Gold Cup within his first year and followed up with silver medals in the 2009 and 2011 editions. He also claimed runners-up honours in the 2009 Confederations Cup.
After leaving the Stars and Stripes, the 58-year-old had stints with Egypt and Norwegian top-flight outfit Stabaek before landing with Le Havre last November.
The French club currently sit seventh in the second tier, having won three of their nine games thus far.
Although managing in Ligue 2 perhaps isn’t ideal preparation for a potential Premier League relegation fight, Bradley’s experience still outweighs that of Giggs, who took over the Red Devils for four games as caretaker after David Moyes was sacked.
After losing 3-1 to Manchester City last time out, the Swans sit one place above the drop zone and have Liverpool on the cards next. We go a hefty 5/1 that they spring a surprise win.
