Forfar’s Bollan and O’Brien claim Player and Manager of the Month

Following a perfect September, Forfar Athletic’s Gary Bollan and Thomas O’Brien are Ladbrokes Manager and Player of the Month for September respectively.
Wins over Annan, Stirling and Clyde ensured the Loons continued their excellent start, as they won all of their first seven games of the new Ladbrokes League 2 season.
Bollan’s men even ousted Raith Rovers in the Scottish Challenge Cup for good measure.
It marks a clean sweep for former Airdrieonians boss Bollan, who also claimed August’s Manager of the Month accolade.
And completing the double this month is Thomas O’Brien who has been rewarded for his fine form since joining Forfar from Cowdenbeath in 2015.
The 25-year-old midfielder proved to be a crucial part of Athletic’s perfect September, netting the winner in the 1-0 success over Clyde.
After starting the season at 11/2, Forfar’s form has seen the bookies slash their odds into 10/11 favouritism.
The Station Park outfit’s latest step towards promotion to Ladbrokes League 1 sees them head to Arbroath, and Bollan’s men are 5/4 to claim another three points.
