Gogglebox star an early contender for I’m a Celebrity crown

Published:

Forget the countdown to Christmas, there’s still another reality TV show yet to hit our screens this year. And while a full list of confirmed participants for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! hasn’t been released yet, that hasn’t stopped punters having their say on who they think will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.

So who could be about to head into the Australian outback? Our traders have priced up an early list of potential runners, and there’s a familiar face heading the market…

Eamonn Holmes – 3/1

Rather surprisingly, Eamonn Holmes has never appeared on a reality TV show, despite several rumours linking him to a stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house in recent years. He left Sky News earlier this year, meaning the presenter has plenty of spare time to make an appearance on the hit show this winter.

Scarlett Moffatt – 4/1

Already an early contender for the title of Queen of the Jungle, Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt would undoubtedly be a great addition to the show. And there’s already interest in the Geordie from punters, with 37.5 per cent of all outright bets so far being placed on the radio presenter.

Ola Jordan – 4/1

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan would certainly add a sparkle of glitz to the jungle, and it’s been a while since we’ve seen the 33-year-old on our screens on a regular basis. It’s reportedly a toss-up between Ola and her former colleague from the BBC show Aliona Vilani for a place in the jungle. But at 4/1 to win the whole thing, it looks as though Ola has won that battle.

Lisa Snowden – 8/1

If Ola Jordan brings the glitz, Lisa Snowden will definitely provide the glamour should she enter the jungle later this year. And with a TV insider saying that talks have apparently taken place about the model going Down Under, our traders have been left with no choice but to price her up as a potential winner.

Will Young – 10/1

Britain’s first ever reality TV star shockingly quit Strictly Come Dancing earlier this month without giving a proper explanation as to why. Perhaps he received a better offer from somewhere else…

Other names

While TOWIE’s Kate Wright (10/1) and Loose Women’s Carol Vorderman (10/1) are the most likely names in this batch to make the show, we can’t help but laugh at the thought of the likes of Nigel Farage (12/1), Tyson Fury (16/1) and Sam Allardyce (16/1) all in the same camp.
