Hillary Clinton shortest price ever as Donald Trump’s odds drift

Donald Trump’s odds to be the next US President have drifted to their biggest price since April.

The Republican candidate was 5/4 to win the race to the White House shortly before the first TV debate with rival Hillary Clinton, but has seen his odds drift alarmingly in the past three weeks to 4/1.

An astonishing 95 per cent of all bets on the next POTUS market have been for Clinton since the revelation of Trump’s ‘locker room’ recordings last Friday.

Clinton has hardened to 2/11 favourite – the shortest price she has ever been with the bookies.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “Punters have deserted Trump in their droves. In betting terms he’s had a catastrophic month and his chances of making President are hanging on by a thread.”

It’s 3/1 that Clinton wins by a vote share of over 10 per cent in next month’s election, while 8/1 says the Democratic nominee doubles that victory to over 20 per cent.

Trump is 16/1 to win by 10 per cent or more, the same price as Barack Obama still sitting President come February 1 2017.

You can also get 16/1 with the bookies on anyone other than Trump or Clinton winning the election.
