Romania to beat Kazakhstan

Romania travel to Kazakhstan in the only early kick-off of the day, and they’ll be looking to maintain the kind of form that saw them demolish Armenia 5-0 last weekend.

While the Kazakhs have worked hard to remove their minnow status in recent years, they’ll have been disappointed to have suffered defeat by the same scoreline last time out against Montenegro.

In short, we have a team that’s just won 5-0 up against a team that’s just lost 5-0. There’s surely only one way this can go, right?

Slovakia to beat Scotland

Gordon Strachan’s men have had an average start to this campaign, enjoying an impressive 5-1 victory in Malta before dropping two points at home to Lithuania.

And in Slovakia, they’re up against a team who’ll be challenging them for second-place in the group come the end of the qualifying stages.

Last weekend’s draw with Lithuania showed signs of weaknesses in Strachan’s side, and they’re weaknesses that Marek Hamsik and co will be looking to exploit tonight.

England to beat Slovenia

England head into this tie with a psychological advantage over their rivals, having won all four of their previous meetings with Slovenia.

And Southgate’s men know that a win could see them sit some five points ahead of their opponents.

While the Three Lions are the visitors, they’re still odds-on favourites to grab all three points in this tie.

Denmark to beat Montenegro

This will be a tough group to get out of, and if Denmark are to stand any chance of doing just that, they’ll have beat other challengers for qualification, like Montenegro.

And it’s something they managed as recently as last year, winning 2-1 against Ljubisa Tumbakovic’s men.

The Danes are enjoying a fine run of form on home soil, winning their last four in Telia Parken, while Montenegro have won one of their last 11 on the road.

Lithuania to beat Malta

While Malta did well to leave Wembley Stadium having conceded just two goals against England, another fixture just three days later may just be too much for Pietro Ghedin’s side to handle.

They saw just 20 per cent of possession against the Three Lions, spending much of the game chasing English shadows, while Lithuania have enjoyed an unbeaten start to their qualifying campaign.

A win for Lithuania could put the home side on five points from three games, meaning that providing other results go their way, they could come out of this international break in second-place only to England.
