Those kind folk at Ladbrokes have really pulled out all the stops for our latest battle. Rather than merely let top tipsters Matt Holt and Paul King pick their way through the standard Liverpool v Manchester United fare, the bookies have listened to the Twittersphere and priced up a number of your intriguing bets.

Yep, you’ve been replying in your droves to the #WhatAreTheOdds call and both Matt and Paul have decided upon their favourites.

Here’s what they’ve gone for…

MATT HOLT

Liverpool Over 1.5 Team Goals, Manchester United 20+ Booking Points and Liverpool 4+ Corners @ 7/2

Liverpool have scored 2+ goals in their last five games and seven of their nine games so far this season. Manchester United have had at least 20 booking points in four of their last five league games – as well as eight of their last nine games against Liverpool.

Liverpool had 4+ corners in three of their four games against United last season. More importantly, they’ve had 61 in their nine games so far this season (including 32 in their last 3).

Liverpool to win 3-1, Mane to score anytime, Henderson to be carded and a penalty to be awarded @ 125/1

Liverpool have won four of their last five games while conceding once and I’m expecting them to do the same here against Mourinho’s men.

Two of United’s three losses have been to one, including their derby defeat to Manchester City. Sadio Mane has been having a great season so far and has scored three times in his six Premier League appearances so I think it’s worth backing him tonight.

Jordan Henderson has been booked four times in seven appearances, as well as being carded after just three minutes the last time the two sides met at Anfield.

Liverpool have already received four penalties this season, more than they were awarded in the entirety of the 2015-16 season. They’ve conceded one, as have United, who’ve also been given one.

PAUL KING

Over 2.5 goals, both teams to score and each team to have 4+ corners @ 5/2

Liverpool’s games has been full of goals this season, with the net bulging 28 times in their seven Premier League fixtures thus far. Manchester United’s games have also had their fair share, with 21 in seven games.

To get the goals we’re going to need plenty of shots and with two quality goalkeepers on show I’d say there’s a good chance of both teams getting 4+ corners as David de Gea and Simon Mignolet make saves.

Mane and Ibrahimovic to score, a goal scored from outside the box, over 2.5 goals, Henderson to be carded, 10+ match corners @ 66/1

Liverpool’s forward line has looked extremely dangerous this season, with Mane looking particularly impressive due to his hunger to get in behind the defence. On the other side, Zlatan Ibrahimovic started the season in outstanding form and although he’s struggled for goals in recent weeks, he’s a big game player who I think will show up tonight.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a hatful of goals tonight though, and with the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Paul Pogba, Robetyo Firmino and Wayne Rooney to name but a few on the pitch at Anfield, I think there’s a good chance of us seeing a screamer from distance.

I can also see the referee having to reach for his pocket a few times so I’m tipping Henderson, who will be right in the thick of the action from start to finish, to be carded.
