Rangers left it late to see off Partick Thistle on Saturday afternoon with substitute Joe Dodoo netting a late double to sink the Jags.

In truth, Dodoo’s hammer blow was harsh on the hosts, who must’ve thought they’d grabbed a rare win over their Glasgow rivals when Kris Doolan put them ahead on 76 minutes.

However, the Gers hit back five minutes later with Warbuton’s joker in the pack hitting a sublime volley to level things up.

The 21-year-old then completed the turnaround four minutes into stoppage time with his cool finish from Kenny Miller’s through-ball securing all three points for the away side.

Rangers took full advantage of the fact that Abedeen were engaged in Sunday’s League Cup final and now find themselves up into second-place while Partick are bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership table.
