Is Matt Terry an X Factor cert or does he have three real rivals?

The fact that Honey G is STILL in this year’s X Factor competition is a little surprising given her performances in Movie Week. But other than the rapper’s continued tour de force, this year’s show is starting to unfold in a pretty predictable manner.

And that’s something our traders are certainly banking on with long-term favourite Matt Terry now just 1/2 to take the spoils in a few weeks’ time.

His position at the head of the market has rarely looked under threat and with just five acts remaining his coronation as the 2016 winner is now surely a formality.

However, while that might be the case it’s still worth looking at the odds of his three closest rivals.

Sorry Honey, you do not feature in the following list.

5 After Midnight might not be able to match Matt for vocals but their all-round performances are certainly wowing the judges, especially Nicole Scherzinger.

The groups’ take on Try a Little Tenderness had the American popstar waxing lyrical about the trio and at 5/1 (from 6/1) 5AM are not being written off.

That said, the real value perhaps lies in the Betting Without Matt Terry market where 5AM are your 11/8 favourites and Emily Middlemas is next best at 2/1.

And although Finnish songstress Saara Alto arguably lacks the widespread backing of the Great British Public, her talents mean she’s not easy to discount at odds of 5/2.

If Saara can continue to shine – and sway the GBP – she’s got a real chance of barging her way into that runner-up position and in turn winning this bet.
