Odds slashed on Michelle Obama winning 2020 US Election

| 10.11.2016

Outgoing First Lady Michelle Obama has seen her odds of winning the 2020 US Presidential Election slashed.

Having been 66/1 immediately following Donald Trump’s surprise victory this week, a series of bets have forced the bookies to cut Obama’s odds into just 14/1.

That puts the 52-year-old third in the betting.

Only Trump at 6/4 and his Vice President-Elect Mike Pence at 7s are shorter in the market.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said :”The dust has barely settled from Tuesday’s historic vote, but it hasn’t deterred punters from parting ways with their cash on Michelle doing what Hillary couldn’t manage.”

Obama has shot up the betting, and is now ahead of Hillary Clinton at 20/1.

Barack Obama’s vice-president Joe Biden is also a 20/1 shot, with Bernie Sanders at 50s.

Long shots include Kanye West, Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton at 200/1, with internet favourite Ken Bone deemed a 500/1 chance.

It’s 3/1 meanwhile that Trump leaves the Oval Office via impeachment or resignation before the end of his first term.

And despite being favourite to the next Election, it’s odds-on at 4/6 that the former Apprentice host isn’t re-elected for a second four-year spell.

And at 1/2, the UK can expect a visit from the President-Elect to visit British shores before the end of 2017.
