Scarlett Moffatt is your early favourite for I’m a Celeb crown

Ant and Dec are back on our screens with a new batch of celebrities all battling it out for the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! crown. And despite just settling into life in the jungle, our traders already make Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt the early favourite to win Down Under.

She’s already struck a chord with punters, having had more bets placed on her than any other celeb, meaning our traders have now priced the Geordie lass up at 5/2 to take the crown.

Behind her in the market, there’s Joel Dommett and Larry Lamb, who are both 4/1 respectively, while Adam Thomas is 10/1 and Jordan Banjo is 12s.

Aside from Scarlett, the top-half of the market is dominated largely by men, meaning there could be some value in backing her at 1/2 to be the last remaining female, with Carol Vorderman the next challenger in that market at 5/1.

Larry impressed viewers last night with his canoe heroics, while it looks as though the whole camp will be relying on the Gavin and Stacey actor over the coming weeks.

But the worry with him, as he admitted himself in his VT, is that he may well end up getting frustrated with his campmates, and that won’t go down too well with viewers or punters.

Meanwhile, comedian Joel seems to have come out of nowhere to find himself as joint second-favourite in the market.

He got off to a great start by passing his first challenge, and early signs suggest he could go a long way in the competition, meaning at 2/1, he may well be worth backing in the Top Male market.

Elsewhere, former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan is considered to be an outsider as things stand at 33/1, a price that’s also shared by ex-Premier League footballer Wayne Bridge.

However, our one to watch over the coming days is Olympic Gold medallist Sam Quek. Right now she’s 16/1 to go all the way in the show, but the nation just loves an Olympian, and it’s unlikely she’ll be doing anything that’ll anger viewers any time soon. So we’re expecting her odds to soon fall, especially when the Bushtucker Trials begin coming thick and fast.
