Arsenal boss huge odds-on to stay at club, despite PSG interest

Whether you’re Wenger In, whether you’re Wenger Out, or whether you don’t really care where Wenger is, there’s no disputing the fact that that the French boss has changed Arsenal Football Club for the better.

With that in mind, however, the Gunners still haven’t won a Premier League title since the 2003-04 campaign, and plenty of supporters are growing frustrated that their side are becoming the top-flight’s ‘nearly men’.

Arsene Wenger’s contract runs out in the summer, and many fans and pundits alike are expecting him to call it a day with the north London outfit, after what will have been 20-and-a-half years with the club.

But if the latest odds are anything to go by, the 67-year-old isn’t heading anywhere just yet.

Despite PSG reportedly looking into the possibility of bringing Wenger to the Parc des Princes next season, with new boss Unai Emery has struggled to sustain the Parisian giant’s dominance in Ligue 1, our traders make it just 1/4 for Wenger to still be in charge of the Gunners on the opening day of the 2017-18 campaign

Meanwhile, it’s 11/4 for him to hang up his coat come next May.

In truth, that may not necessarily be a bad thing for Arsenal, either.

If Wenger were to leave at the end of this season, there’s nobody currently available who fans would consider good enough to take over the hot seat.

But we already know that Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone will be looking for a new club to manage at the end of next season.

Wenger could potentially take charge of the side for one more year before Simeone joins in the summer of 2018.

Perhaps those are just the thoughts of an Arsenal fan who’s dreaming, but in the meantime, one thing’s certainly for sure – if the odds are anything to go by, Wenger won’t be going anywhere just yet.

What do fans think about the latest odds? Is that good news for Arsenal, or do the club need a change of manager to freshen things up?
