Chelsea v West Brom: Baggies to put up a fight, but Blues will win again

Published:

Chelsea and West Brom are two of the Premier League’s in-form sides, but despite the Baggies’ recent improvement under Tony Pulis, the Blues should be confident of another three points.

Antonio Conte’s men have won eight games on the spin, the latest a resounding 3-1 success at Manchester City.

West Brom have won three and drawn one of their last four, but they’ve been against struggling Leicester, Hull, Burnley and Watford.

Pulis has ensured his side take points when they can, and they must still face Manchester United and Arsenal before 2016 is over.

The Baggies have managed to draw two of their last three visits to Stamford Bridge, but the Blues are odds-on favourites at 1/4.

Another draw is 5/1 while an away win is deemed unlikely at 12/1.

Chelsea are simply in sensational and unstoppable form, and there could be good value in the 5/6 on the hosts in the Half-Time/Full-Time market.

No player has directly contributed to more goals than Diego Costa, and the Spaniard is 11/4 to score first.

And Eden Hazard is back to his best too, with the Belgian already on eight league goals for the season.

That’s two more than his 2014-15 campaign where he was crowned Premier League player of the year, and Hazard is 7/2 to net first.

Salomon Rondon leads the Baggies’ hopes for the first goal at 12/1, ahead of Nacer Chadli at 14s.

But excluding their September blip, Chelsea’s defence has been nigh-on impregnable, conceding just five goals in 11 games.

Chelsea are 4/5 to keep another clean sheet, while they’re also 4/5 to win by more than one goal for the eighth time this term.
