Draxler now shortest price he’s ever been for Arsenal switch

He’s been linked with an Emirates move for several seasons now, but it looks like Arsenal are finally set to sign Julian Draxler, with our traders offering just 3/1 for a north London move in January.

That now means the 23-year-old is the shortest price he’s ever been for a winter switch to the Gunners, and Mesut Ozil might play a huge part in seeing this deal cross the line.

The Arsenal man has often spoken in the past about his wish for the Premier League to be a destination for all of Germany’s top talent, and latest reports are suggesting the Assist King wants confirmation that Arsenal will add Draxler to their ranks before he signs a new deal.

And something which will come as great news to Arsene Wenger is that the Wolfsburg man has been told he’ll never play for his current club again due to his apparent ‘negative behaviour’.

Throw into the mix the fact that the German outfit are willing to accept bids in the region of £25m for Draxler’s services, and it’s difficult to see why Wenger wouldn’t make a move.

Meanwhile, it’s 7/4 for the forward to join up with compatriots Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Per Mertesacker at the Emirates next summer.

The Gunner certainly aren’t lacking in attacking talent out wide, with the likes of Alex Iwobi, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck all currently battling it out for places.

But signing Draxler would certainly be a real statement of intent.

What do supporters think? Is this move likely to go ahead, and would it be one you’d welcome?
