The money keeps on coming for Danny to win Strictly

Danny Mac - Strictly Come Dancing

And then there were three. With this year’s Strictly Come Dancing final line-up now confirmed there’s one particular contestant dominating the betting – Danny Mac.

The Hollyoaks heartthrob has long enjoyed favouritism and if the market is to be believed then the 10/11 jolly already has a good grasp upon the Glitterball trophy.

Not that the semi-final was completely plain-sailing for the soap actor.

Danny finished a point behind surprise Leaderboard topper Ore Oduba with the BBC Sport presenter confounding the bookies to avoid elimination.

Claudia Fragapane was the contestant sent packing, leaving us with Danny, Ore and Louise Redknapp as the talented trio set for next weekend’s extravaganza.

Louise is next best at 11/8 with Ore the rank outsider at 7/1.

However, the flow of cash for Danny would suggest that punters are pretty set on who they think will win the 14th edition of Strictly.

Having flitted between odds-on favouritism and even-money over the weekend, the market has settled and Danny has well and truly regained his stranglehold.
