Such is the standard of quality amongst the best players on the PDC circuit right now, it’s still difficult to find value in the match betting markets over the coming days.

But that hasn’t stopped us from providing you with our Top Bets for the Second Round, and our this acca is paying a whopping 13/1.

Mensur Suljovic v Mark Webster

It seems there’s just no stopping Suljovic this year. The Serbian has been in great form over the past 12 months, and is certainly deserving of his world number eight tag right now.

A convincing 3-0 victory last time out will set him up well for what could be a potentially tricky fixture against Webster.

Top Bet – Suljovic to win @ 1/2

Robert Thornton v Daryl Gurney

This one is too close to call. On the one hand, you’ve got a player who’s probably seen his best years come and go, while on the other hand, you’ve got a young lad who’s working his way up the rankings.

That’s why our traders are finding this one a difficult match to call. But one thing’s for sure, the pair both know how to hit maximums.

Between them, the pair hit nine 180s in their opening matches. And with more darts to throw in the second round, we’re confident of seeing this pair break the 15-mark.

Top Bet – Over 14.5 180s @ 4/5

Raymond van Barneveld v Alan Norris

Barney is on a mission this year, after losing out in the semis at the Ally Pally last time.

And that’s why he’s as short as 1/4 to beat Norris here. That’s simply not enough value for us though, and that’s why we’re looking at the Checkout market as an alternative.

When it comes to high finishes, there aren’t many better in the game than RVB.

He’s got a point to prove to the remaining players, and we’re backing him to finish on a higher checkout than Norris.

Top Bet – Highest Checkout: Raymond van Barneveld @ 4/7

Phil Taylor v Kevin Painter

This pair have had some real clashes over the years.

More often than not, it’s The Power who’s come out on top, and the odds are suggesting he’ll be doing the same again here (1/20).

But there’s one market which we think Painter will have the upper hand over Taylor in, and it’s regarding maximums.

Though he may be the greatest man to have ever played the game, Phil Taylor is not a 180 hitter. The way he throws forces him to drop down to 19s more often than most players on the circuit.

Yet he’s favourite to outscore the Artist in the 180s market, something we’re disagreeing with.

Top Bet – Painter to score more 180s than Taylor @ 13/8
