Celtic dismantled Heart of Midlothian 4-0 on Sunday afternoon and in doing so extended their unbeaten domestic run to 27 matches, breaking the record previously set by the Lisbon Lions.

Brendan Rodgers’ side went ahead just before the half-hour mark when Callum McGregor finished neatly from a Scott Sinclair through-ball.

The Hoops had to wait until the 77th minute to extend their lead but once Sinclair doubled the home side’s advantage a flurry of goals followed.

Patrick Roberts made it 3-0 soon after with Sinclair completing his brace when converting from the penalty spot in stoppage-time.

Celtic have only dropped two points so far in a near faultless league campaign and now find themselves with a 22-point lead at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership table.
