Arsenal now favourites to sign Man City outcast this summer

Joe Hart is likely to be a sought after man in the summer, with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola unlikely to keep the England international for the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
And his return to these shores following a season on loan at Serie A outfit Torino will be met with plenty of interest from Premier League outfits.
But the latest odds are suggesting that Arsenal are leading the way in the race for his signature.
For the first time this season, the north London outfit are 4/1 frontrunners ahead of the likes of Liverpool (6/1), West Ham (6/1) and Everton (8/1) in the hunt for Hart.
Despite having both Petr Cech and David Ospina at his disposal right now, it’s thought Arsene Wenger will look to add the Man City ace to his ranks to provide stiff competition for places, while preparing for the future.
At 34, it’s clear Cech won’t be Arsenal’s number one for much longer. And the former Chelsea man is coming under criticism from fans and pundits alike, following a string of shaky performances in between the sticks.
With only seven Premier League clean sheets to his name this season, it looks as though Cech is struggling with the dreaded SSS (Second Season Syndrome). That means it’s likely Hart could join up with international teammates Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Welbeck.
A move to the capital is a tempting proposition for the shotstopper, and while West Ham had been favourites to bring Hart to the London Stadium, interest seems to have died off in recent weeks.
And Jurgen Klopp seems more intent on getting the best out of his current players, rather than being forced to spend, making an Anfield move unlikely.
While Arsene Wenger has defended both Ospina and Cech in recent press conferences, he’s yet to categorically rule out a move for the 29-year-old, who was coincidentally linked, albeit briefly, with a move to the Emirates last summer.
With a reported £15m price tag on his head (and shoulders), plenty would see a move for Hart as a bargain.
