Chelsea to make mega £70m summer move for Monaco star

With one hand on the Premier League, Chelsea are preparing for Champions League football next season and their latest target for European success is Monaco ace Bernardo Silva.
The 22-year-old has been with the French outfit for a little over a year, after joining from Benfica for £13m.
The Portuguese star has shone this term, racking up six goals and seven assists from 25 games in Ligue 1 as Monaco launch their strongest title tilt in years.
The winger has also netted twice in the Champions League this term, including in the 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley.
Valued at over £21m by transfermarkt.co.uk, Silva’s Monaco deal runs until 2020, and according to this weekend’s press Chelsea must cough up around £70m.
It’s been widely reported that with the Premier League all-but sewn up, boss Antonio Conte has turned his attention to players who could help bring them European silverware.
But the Blues aren’t the only ones interested, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Tottenham and both Manchester clubs also linked in recent months.
Even if they do win the French title this season, Monaco face a stressful summer with a number of their star players wanted by Europe’s biggest.
Alongside Silva, Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar and Gabriel Boschilia have also been tipped with a move away from the French riviera.
