WATCH: PSV goalkeeper finds out that goal-line technology isn’t perfect

Published:

Goal-line technology was meant to be a flawless, fail-safe introduction into modern football, right? Well this weekend PSV’s Jeroen Zoet found out that it ain’t quite all it’s cracked up to be.

With less than 10 minutes to go in the crunch clash between PSV and Feyenoord, things were heading for a point-apiece at 1-1.

And crucially, that point would have done wonders for PSV’s titles hopes, with time running out to catch their opponents from Rotterdam.

But then, this happened…

It’s been widely discussed that without goal-line technology, this effort wouldn’t have stood.

But as it is, PSV are now 11 points behind Feyenoord, rather than eight. What a different a millimetre makes.
