BREAKING: Tottenham and England ace evens for Man United summer move

It’s pretty likely Jose Mourinho will have plenty of money available to him in the summer. And if the latest reports and odds are anything to go by, his main target will be Tottenham Hotspur and England ace Eric Dier.

In fact, the Red Devils are now as short as even-money to add the versatile 23-year-old to their ranks when the transfer window opens.

United have been linked with a move for Dier before, but this is by far the shortest price he’s been for an Old Trafford move, as Mourinho’s search for Michael Carrick’s successor continues.

One thing’s for sure though – the former Sporting Lisbon man certainly won’t come cheap.

Spurs have no reason to sell and Dier is a key man in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans, so it’s thought Man United would have to part ways with roughly £40m for his services.

An equally important figure for Gareth Southgate, Dier already has 17 senior England caps to his name and is one of five Spurs players featuring regularly for the Three Lions.

And although the north London outfit are making great strides in the Premier League, a move to Old Trafford would be hard for any player in world football to turn down.

Re-opening the market and making this potential move just an even-money shot means our traders are taking no chances for the time being, and it only strengthens reports coming out today from a whole host of media outlets suggesting a move will go ahead.

As you’d expect, the Red Devils have been linked with plenty of huge names in world football in recent weeks.

We’ve learned of Mourinho’s apparent interest in the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Victor Lindelof and even Neymar.

This morning our odds-compilers also made it just a 2/1 shot that Burnley and England man Michael Keane would return to his former club.

It’s frightening to think just how much of a threat United would pose in every area of the pitch were the aforementioned names all to sign this summer.

That would be a dream for United, but while interest in the likes of Lindelof and Griezmann looks to be fading, the same can’t be said for Dier.

For the time being though he remains very much a Spurs player, and he’ll face off against his potential new teammates on the penultimate weekend of the season.

Both clubs will likely be battling for a top four spot by that time – but plenty of eyes will be on Dier.
