Manchester United are now the clear 5/4 favourites to win this year’s Europa League, after the draw for the Quarter-Finals was made this afternoon.

Jose Mourinho’s men – after seeing off FC Rostov last night – were the second name to be drawn out of the hat after Dutch outfit Anderlecht.

That means for consecutive rounds, the Red Devils will have the advantage of playing the second-leg at Old Trafford.

Behind them in the market to lift the trophy comes Ligue 1 heavyweights Lyon. They’ll welcome Turkish giants Besiktas to France for the first-leg of that clash, and they’ll be hoping to get the job done on home soil, taking the pressure off before heading to a hostile Vodafone Arena.

If Lyon can come through that tie unscathed, then you can expect to see their odds of winning the competition (currently 3/1) drop substantially.

After that, the remaining sextet of European sides’ prices look like this…

‘Best of the rest’ Celta Vigo will face the competition’s biggest outsiders Genk, which explains why the La Liga club are priced relatively short to go all the way.

Ajax will come toe-to-toe with Schalke, who saw off Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach to progress to the quarters. And it’s the German side who our traders are fancying to progress in that tie, with 8/1 on offer for them to win the tournament outright.

It’s likely United boss Jose Mourinho will be delighted with the draw as his side looks to build momentum in this competition – one which the club have never won.

But that could all change come May.

Here’s the draw in full…
