How Twitter reacted to Churchill winning the 2000 Guineas

| 06.05.2017

Champion two-year-old Churchill fully justified favouritism to land a record-breaking eighth 2000 Guineas for trainer Aidan O’Brien this afternoon.

The 6/4 jolly went on to score by a length from Barney Roy with French raider Al Wukair filling out the places.

Following his latest Classic victory, Churchill’s jockey Ryan Moore told ITV Racing’s Rishi Persad: “When I saw him in the paddock I was happy and when I got on him i was even happier. It feels like when you ask him he gives a bit more.”

And while the bookies were left howling, plenty of punters and racing fans celebrated Churchill’s triumph.
