Man United 5/4 to pull off stunning coup by signing Man City hero

| 08.05.2017

Manchester City fans – we recommend covering your eyes. Why? Because our traders make it just a 5/4 shot that club legend Sergio Aguero is set to swap the Etihad for…Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho has made his admiration for the Argentine striker clear. And with Manchester United likely to lose the services of Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, the Red Devils’ gaffer is determined to add the 28-year-old to his ranks.

And he could well be wearing red next season – with 6/4 for the former Independiente man to head to the Theatre of Dreams this summer.

The Citizens striker has been in scintillating form this term, netting 31 times in 42 games, including registering in six of his last seven Premier League outings.

But his blistering form in this campaign means United – while firm favourites – are far from the only club interested in the Buenos Aires native.

Real Madrid are 4/1 to acquire Aguero’s services, with Arsenal 6/1 to tempt the prolific hitman to North London.

Elsewhere, a return to Atletico Madrid is priced up at 7s, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich both 8/1 shots, while it’s 10/1 he exits for Anfield.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Aguero could incur the wrath of the City faithful this summer, with a stunning switch to Mourinho and Man United looking ever more likely.”

Next up for the Red Devils is the visit of Celta Vigo in the Europa League.

There’s 8/15 for United to defeat the Galician outfit and reach the UEL Final. Lifting that trophy would mean guaranteed Champions League football next term – and could well be the clincher in luring Aguero to Old Trafford.
