Odds say Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City in for Mahrez battle

Many expected him to leave last summer, but now it seems as though Riyad Mahrez is finally set to depart Leicester City – but who will secure his signature?

The Algerian hasn’t quite hit the heights of last season, but has still mustered 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions this term.

But with the Foxes now out of European football next term, it’s highly likely last year’s PFA Player’s Player of the Year is set to leave the East Midlands outfit.

And with a number of clubs out to secure the 26-year-old’s services, Leicester can expect to make a substantial profit on the man they signed for just £425k from Le Havre in January 2014.

Despite interest from the likes of Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain on the continent, the odds suggest Mahrez will remain in the Premier League.

But a transfer battle is set to ensue, with Arsenal slight favourites at 5/2 to snap up the Algerian international.

Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are right in the mix too though at 11/4.

And Manchester City are set to make it a three-way fight, with 3/1 on offer for Mahrez to join Pep Guardiola’s Citizens.
