Back British and Irish Lions to win big in opening warm-up clash

The British and Irish Lions Tour of New Zealand gets underway this weekend – and some big, big wins are on the way.

We’re not talking about the three Tests against the mighty All Blacks of course, but the warm-up games.

And we aren’t suggesting you back a Lions win over New Zealand Provincial Barbarians at 1/250 either.

But there could be real value in the winning margin markets.

The Lions averaging winning margin over their last 12 warm-up matches has been a comprehensive 30.9.

And in that has included four victories with a gap of between 51 and 64 points.

So, let’s kick things off with the Lions to win with a margin of 31-40 points at 3/1.

Our traders like the look of a 41-50 point success too, with 10/3 available.

And the Lions really are set to fly, with a 51-60 point win priced up at a very plausible 5/1.

But even shorter is a real hammering for the hosts, with a margin of 61-70 points chalked up at just 9/2.

The handicap betting has the Lions at 10/11 -37 points, which sounds pretty much on the money to us.
