Bayern Munich trimmed in race to sign Arsenal ace Sanchez

The future of Alexis Sanchez remains very much in the balance, but the latest odds suggest a move to Bayern Munich is more and more likely.

The Daily Mirror claim the Bundesliga giants are willing to make Sanchez their highest-paid player.

And this is from a club who already boast Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Robert Lewandowski, to name but a few.

Bayern could offer the Chilean up to £350,000-per-week, and all-but guarantee a string of silverware.

And with just a year to go on his contract, Sanchez could yet still see Arsenal pocket £40m.

So our traders have seen fit to chop Bayern’s odds from 7/2 to 2/1.

That puts them firmly at the sharp end of the betting, with only Manchester City a shorter price.

Pep Guardiola’s side are 6/4 favourites, although it should be noted that price has drifted from 6/5 on offer earlier this week.

Chelsea are the only other realistic contenders, with 4/1 saying Sanchez makes a cross-capital switch this summer.

The striker enjoyed another fine season in North London, bagging 30 goals in all competitions in addition to 19 assists.

He netted in Arsenal’s fine Emirates FA Cup Final win over Chelsea too, but frequently appeared frustrated with team-mates as the Gunners fell outside the Premier League’s top four for the first time in 20 years.
