Costa says Conte doesn’t want him at Chelsea – Evens for China move

| 08.06.2017

Slowly but surely the pieces of the transfer jigsaw puzzle come together.

Firstly, Romelu Lukaku says he has an agreement in place with his next club, but won’t reveal who that club is.

Then Diego Costa says Antonio Conte no longer wants him at Chelsea.

The Spaniard is now 2/7 to quit the Premier League champions this summer, after speaking out over his future at the club.

Speaking after Spain’s 2-2 draw with Colombia this week, the striker said: “I’m a Chelsea player, but they do not want me there.”

Costa added: “Antonio Conte has told me by message that I do not follow at Chelsea and that’s it. Conte said he did not count on me for next season.”

We make it an even-money shot Costa heads to the Chinese Super League, having already received a mega-bucks offer from Tianjin Quanjian in January.

It’s 3/1 that he returns to Atletico Madrid, although the La Liga outfit have been slapped with a transfer ban.

Should Costa return to his former club, he won’t be able to play for them until January.

And that’s a major concern with a World Cup 12 months away.

Newly-minted AC Milan are an 8/1 shot, and there could be some value in that.

The San Siro outfit were recently taken over by a Chinese consortium, and have made several comments about their ambitious spending plans this summer.

A move to Monaco is 12/1, with Paris Saint-Germain 16/1.

It’s the same price Costa heads to the UAE, with Marseille the outside punt at 18s.

Either way, it seems the days of one of football’s most divisive strikers plying his trade in the Premier League are coming to an end.
